Explorando los componentes de la interfaz de usuario de Onshape

The startup user interface of the Part Studio environment clearly shows that Onshape is user-friendly. Some key components of this interface are discussed next.

Onshape Logo

The Onshape logo (or your company logo), located in the top left corner of the browser, serves as a shortcut to return to the Documents page from any other page in the system by clicking it.

Document Name

The Document Name field, located next toi the Onshape logo, displays the specified name of the design document. It also allows you to rename the document at any stage of the design process. To do this, simpli click the Document Name field, enter a new name in the edit field that appears, and press ENTER to save the changes.

Feature Toolbar

Te Feature toolbar provides various tools for creating 3D solid and surface models in the Part Studio environment. Figure 1.9 shows a partial view of the Feature toolbar, while Figure 1.10 shows a reference 3D solid model.

Note

Note: The availability of the toolbar depends on the active environment. In the Assembly environment, the Assembly toolbar appears for tasks related to building assemblies, while in the Drawing environment, the Drawing toolbar is available for creating 2D technical drawings of parts or assemblies.

Feature list

The feature list, located on the left side of the graphics area, records all features used in creating a model, see Figure 1.11. The first feature created appears at the top, with subsequent features listed sequentially below it. By default, the Feature list includes three default planes and an origin.

Tip

Tip: Features are sequential logical operations used to construct a design. Figure 1.12 displays the model, while Figure 1.13 illustrates the features used to create it in sequential order.

Part List

The Part list is located below the Feature list on the left side of the graphics area. It records all individual parts or bodies available in the current design file, see Figure

Tip

Tip: You can show or hide the Feature list and Part list using the Features and parts tool, refer to Figure 1.14.

Document Panel

The Document panel is vertically aligned in the top-left corner, balow the Onshape logo, see Figure 1.15. It provides quick access to tools such as Versions and history, Create version, Release drafts, Comments, and Performance for every Onshape document.

Versions and history

The Versions and history tool opens the Document panel, providing options to view changes and releases of the current design document, see Figure 1.16. It also enables you to create new workspaces, access previous stage of the design, compare history, create versions, and more. The availability of certain features depends on the current Onshape subscription type.

Create Version

The create version tool opens
